- Premier Energies NeoBlack is an all-black TOPCon panel: black cells, black frame and a uniform dark finish that blends into a modern roofline.
- It is sold as a DCR panel, so it qualifies for the PM Surya Ghar subsidy of up to ₹78,000.
- Underneath the looks it has the full specification of Premier's 600 to 630 W TOPCon panel: up to 23.32% efficiency, −0.29% per °C and a 30-year power warranty.
- It suits contemporary Kerala homes, sloped roofs that face the street, and businesses that care about how the building looks.
For many Kerala homeowners, the question is not just "how much will solar save?" but "how will it look on my house?" A new contemporary home with a sloped roof facing the road deserves panels that look like they belong there. Premier Energies' NeoBlack panel is designed for exactly that, without giving up performance.
What makes NeoBlack different
- A uniform black look. Standard panels show a silver frame and visible lines between the cells. NeoBlack is black from edge to edge, so the array reads as one clean surface.
- Less visual glare. Premier designed the dark finish to reduce glare, which matters when panels face a neighbour's windows or a busy road.
- DCR certified. The NeoBlack range is labelled DCR, so it can be used on PM Surya Ghar subsidy projects.
- Premium build. Bifacial dual glass with a 35 mm anodized aluminium frame and an IP68 junction box.

Where all-black panels make the most sense
| Situation | Why NeoBlack fits |
|---|---|
| Contemporary homes with dark roofs | Blends with grey or black roof tiles and sheets |
| Sloped roofs facing the street | The array is visible, so appearance matters |
| Villas and premium apartments | Keeps the architect's design intact |
| Shops, clinics and offices | A neat, modern look for customers and visitors |
On a flat terrace hidden from view, a standard silver-frame panel performs just as well and can cost less. We will tell you honestly whether the black finish is worth it for your roof.
Does black mean hotter?
Black surfaces absorb more light, so a reasonable question is whether all-black panels run hotter and lose output. Premier's datasheet gives the NeoBlack the same nominal operating cell temperature (45°C ± 2°C) and the same −0.29% per °C coefficient as its standard TOPCon panel. That low coefficient keeps heat losses small on hot Kerala afternoons, and good airflow under the panels, from a properly spaced structure, keeps them cooler still.
Sizing a NeoBlack system
- 3 kW home: five 610 W panels (3.05 kW), about 365 units a month.
- 5 kW home: eight 610 W panels (4.88 kW), about 585 units a month.
A 3 kW system gets the full ₹78,000 PM Surya Ghar subsidy. Read the subsidy guide for the steps, and the 2026 cost guide for prices.
Common questions
Do all-black panels cost more?
Usually a little more than the same panel with a silver frame, because of the black frame and finish. The extra cost buys appearance, not extra output.
Are NeoBlack panels eligible for the subsidy?
Yes. The NeoBlack range is DCR, which the PM Surya Ghar subsidy requires. We share the DCR certificate for your panels.
Can they be fitted on a sloped tile roof?
Yes. We fit them on rails that follow the slope, which is where their clean look shows best.
